The 99 names of Allah is also known as Asma’ul Husna. Throughout the Quran, Allah's Names and Attributes are mentioned numerous times. Allah! The Creator, Planner, Sustainer and the Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is in between them has the Best Names and Qualities. We believe in all Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes which Allah has mentioned in the Quran. We should memorize them, understand their meaning and act upon them. Moreover, we should use them to call upon Him.
اللَّهُ ALLAH THE NAME OF THE ALMIGHTY “Verily, I am Allah! (none has the right to be worshiped but I), so worship Me, and perform as-Salat for my Remembrance” (20:14) |
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said:
“And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so invoke on Him by them. And leave the company of those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing.” (7:180)
“Allah! There is no deity except Him. To Him belong the Best Names.” (20:8)
“He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” (59:24)
Narrated Abu Huraira: “Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is witr (one) and loves 'the witr' (i.e., odd numbers).” (Bukhari, 6410)

ٱلْنُّورُ AN-NUR THE LIGHT, THE ONE WHO REVEALS “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.” (24:35) |
ٱلْهَادِي AL-HAADI THE PROVIDER OF GUIDANCE “But sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper.” (25:31) |
ٱلْبَدِيعُ AL-BADEE THE ORIGINATOR “Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it: “Be!” and it is.” (2:117) |
